MIA ALANIS
Public Relations | Content Writing
Everyone has a story. This is mine.
I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism with a concentration in public relations from California State University, Northridge, with a minor in marketing. Later, I earned a Master of Education in Instructional Design and Technology from West Texas A&M University.
My career has focused on public relations and communications across a variety of industries. I’ve worked with healthcare organizations, educational programs, nonprofits, consumer brands, and workforce platforms.
I’ve also had the opportunity to gain experience at an entertainment PR firm, managing campaigns and media outreach for high-profile clients, and at a technology PR firm, supporting product launches, press releases, and strategic media placements.
In addition to PR, I write editorial and informational content on careers, remote work, and workforce trends. Many of these projects help organizations connect with their audiences and provide practical guidance to professionals.
Much of my work is remote, and I’ve been working remotely since before it became widespread across industries. This experience has shaped how I communicate, collaborate, and organize projects effectively.
Earlier in my career, I also managed a large seasonal team in the theme park industry, strengthening my leadership and customer service skills. I later worked in the luxury beauty sector, providing client education and sales consultation.
These experiences combine to give me a wide range of transferable skills: writing, communications strategy, project management, and media relations. My goal in every project is simple: help organizations communicate clearly, accurately, and effectively.
